Music from the Spheres -
Volume I - Songs of Eden - Marcus Viana
Music from the Spheres - is a series dedicated
to the use of music as an element of healing, relaxation and meditation.
All the compositions in this series were recorded in the very act
of creation without any racional interference, assembled in sanctuaries
of nature. Songs of Eden besides establishing an atmosphere of peace
and beauty, reminds us of the sacred musical tradition of different
cultures and ages. |

|
Music from the Spheres -
Volume II - Acqua - Marcus Viana
This second volume of the series was dedicated
to healing therapy, meditation and devotional practices. Practically
all the recordings were made digitally by a beautiful water spring.
The vocals and the instrument solos were later added at ‘Sonhos
& Sons’ recording studio. The work of this volume was actually improvised;
a pure moment of the act of creation. Touching the intuitive universe,
source of all human reason is to follow the flow to the ocean of
the music from the spheres.
|

|
Music from the Spheres -
Volume III - Terra - Marcus Viana
Marcus Viana pictures here the earth element,
melting into instruments such as tablas, Indian flute, cello, percussion
as well as the traditional acoustic and electric violins, the composer’s
trade mark. The music flows free from labels or styles, going from
classical to ethnic influences keeping a great unit and maintaining
a peaceful, light spirit.
|

|
Music from the Spheres -
Volume IV - Aere - Marcus Viana
”Aere” is the third volume of the tetralogy
composed by Marcus Viana. The tetralogy was inspired in the Nature’s
four basic elements in order to create ambience soundtracks to prayer,
devotional practices, healing, relaxation and meditation. All the
songs here are supposed to evoke the air subtleness as in the tracks
“Portal do tempo”, “Catedral Eólica” and “Vento do Deserto”.
|

|
Música das Esferas
- Volume V - Ignis - Marcus Viana
Completing the musical tetralogy of the
elements, Marcus Viana's album "Ignis" focus the fire element. In
this album, the composer uses more percussive instruments and vocals
than in the other albums of the "Music of the Spheres" collection.
The result is vibrating music, relaxing and intense at the same
time, revealing the subtle aspects of the fire energy. As all the
other albums from this tetralogy, the composer recorded the act
of creation, having the voices and instruments added later.

|
St Francis of Assisi - Marcus
Viana
A musical poem about the life of the great
mystic of the XII Century. "The Poverelo" (The little poor one),
also known as the "Bard of God". He had extraordinary links with
music and became the symbol of the human affection to Nature. Music
and Nature are the structure of this record. Besides the instrumental
sound tracks that go from the symphonic to the world music and new
age, there are the beautiful songs related to the theme. The CD
cover shows a scenery of Assisi, the Alverne Mountains and Subasio
Mount. It also depicts paintings of the middle age painter Giotto
who tells us the Francis life story through his art. |

Gurdjieff/ De
Hartmann 1
In Gurdjieff's view music should above all
serve to lead humanity to an awakening. This music, which he called
objective music, requires an objective knowledge of nature, specifically
of the function and properties of the sentiments. When a certain
note is played on an instrument, another instrument nearby resonates
the same note. It is a law. When a melody plays the music of the
universe, the universe resonates, just as our interior universe
resonates mathematically in the same way. |

|
Gurdjieff/
De Hartmann 2
Following up on a research project unprecedented
in Brazil, the trio made up of Artur Andrés, Regina Amaral
and Mauro Rodrigues (piano and flutes) demonstrate how it is possible
and fascinating to open a space in the cultural barriers between
the East and the West.
The music of the Sayyids and the Dervishes is an opportunity to
come into contact with the same atmosphere contained in the rituals
and sacred dances for which this music was written.
. |

|
Gurdjieff/ de Hartmann 3
- Hinos, Preces e Ritos
Third album of the trio: Artur Andres,
Regina Amaral and Mauro Rodrigues. They focus in the creations of
Gurdjieff / De Hartmann. According to Gurdjieff, the human being
interior life structure and function are perfectly symbolized by
the musical law and so is the Creation. The songs elaborated by
Gurdjieff with the collaboration of his pupil, the composer Thomas
de Hartmann, magnificently personify the idea of music as a link
to the sacred. |
